About the role:
In this generalist role, you'll support leaders and employees across a wide range of People and Culture activities including recruitment, onboarding, policy development, wellbeing initiatives - and play a key role in payroll and reporting coordination and compliance.
Reporting to the Senior Manager People and Culture, you will be responsible for:
• Providing practical advice on Human Resources (HR) matters including performance, recruitment and policies.
• Coordinating end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Managing payroll transactions and ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Supporting leaders and employees with payroll queries and entitlements.
• Maintaining HR and payroll systems with up-to-date, accurate data.
• Contributing to the review and improvement of HR policies and workflows.
• Deploy recruitment strategies aligned with our Indigenous Program to increase representation of Indigenous employees within our workforce.
• Supporting projects and initiatives that promote employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in a similar HR Advisor or generalist role (including payroll responsibilities).
• Knowledge of employment legislation, awards, and payroll compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
