About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Site Supervisor to join our multi-faceted civil construction company. You will be a part of a team that prides itself on its unique family-oriented culture, commitment, and attitude. As the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations on site, including supervision and leadership of the employees, subcontractors, and all engaged plant and equipment. Site Supervisors are also responsible for ensuring that all personnel operating on-site under their direct control or influence do so in full accordance with legislative requirements and that all responsibilities are fulfilled by the employees and subcontractors assigned to their relevant roles.
Key Responsibilities
* Play an active role in supporting and implementing required processes, procedures, and systems to efficiently run projects, manage risk and workplace health and safety.
* Present and implement weekly program to mitigate project risk, promote efficiency, and ensure project is on track.
* Ensure that all employees and subcontractors adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
* Monitor all goods, resources, equipment, and services to ensure they are accurate and in line with HSEQ standards.
* Provide operational support to the estimating team to assist with the conversion of new opportunities and to ensure construction methodologies are optimal in terms of safety, time, cost, quality, and deliverability as required.
* Be responsive to client needs and build robust and functional relationships with all stakeholders.
* Lead by example with best practice, operations, and communication during work and company activities.
* Monitor the performance of all employees and subcontractors on site and report any performance concerns or requirements.
* Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of industry and client compliance requirements and trends.
Desired qualities we need from you
* Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Previous experience working on technical civil projects, including subdivisions.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices.
* Organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and handle multiple responsibilities.
