Responsibilities

* Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor environmental consultants to deliver high-quality solutions.
* Strategic Advisor: Provide expert guidance to clients on environmental regulations, compliance, and best practices.
* Conduct Assessments: Carry out thorough environmental impact assessments to identify risks and recommend effective mitigation measures.
* Develop Solutions: Create and implement innovative sustainable environmental management plans and strategies.
* Build Relationships: Establish strong connections with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
* Stay Ahead: Keep abreast of environmental trends, policies, and regulations to inform decision‑making and drive success.


Prior Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Marine/Environmental Science, or other relevant area of study.
* More than 10 years’ relevant experience in environmental consulting, focusing on complex project management.
* Expertise in environmental impact assessments and compliance with Australian legislation.
* Strong project management skills enabling prioritization and meeting deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
* Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and motivating teams. Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Environmental Practitioner) are highly regarded.
* Post‑graduate degree (Honours, Masters, PhD) in relevant field.
* Experience in scientific, engineering or resources sector.
* Post‑graduate qualifications in environmental management or other relevant area of study.
* Willingness to conduct fieldwork in remote areas.
* Proven business development skills.
* Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.
* Experience managing and contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.


Location

This role will be located in our Perth office, the second largest of our APAC locations. There will also be occasional travel to field locations or interstate to work closer with cross‑border colleagues.
