An opportunity exists to join our dynamic team at Hill Street Cambridge, where you'll work in a fast-paced environment as a multidisciplinary team of food professionals including chefs, cooks and butchers. You'll be responsible for assisting our Pastry team to produce the exquisite pies, quiches and other products sold within our stores.
You'll have a sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene with a focus on quality and consistency (or the ability to learn and respect these requirements). You will also have a friendly attitude, strong teamwork and sound communication skills.
To thrive in this position you'll:
Be available to start immediately (highly regarded)
Positive verbal and written English skills (required)
Demonstrated experience in fast-paced kitchen environments (highly regarded)
Experience in pastry cooking helpful but not required
Previous experience in high volume food preparation (highly regarded)
This role requires a high level of physical fitness and stamina, which will enable you to stand for long periods and perform manual handling, bending and lifting/moving of items (from 16-55kg, in line with Australian Work Safe standards)
