Role Plan And Implement A Quality Educational Program

Plan, implement, assess and review a high quality and diverse educational program based on My Time, Our Place and with reference to the NQS, considering the developmental needs, interests and abilities of all children attending the service.
* Model and lead the team of educators to actively support the children to engage in the program and ensure that the program promotes children's agency, choice and influence.
* Lead the team of educators in the development and delivery of effective and valuable documentation of children's learning in accordance with the center philosophy, NQS and MTOP.
* Model and support the team of educators to utilise a variety of teaching strategies including intentional teaching and reflective practices in daily work.
* Deliver, embed and promote a collaborative Statement of Philosophy and Service Vision
* Undertake the role of Educational Leader under the National Regulations and provide strong pedagogical leadership to the educator team by building capability, leading curriculum direction and building and sustaining a rigorous culture of critical inquiry

* Facilitate the development and maintenance of the SIP and guide the service though accessing the Inclusion Support Program.
* Contribute to the development of an effective staff management process with a view of maximising continuity of staff, including recruitment, induction and orientation of new staff, staff performance appraisals and development plans, promote professional development opportunities, staff rostering, staff meetings and supervision of workplace students and volunteers.

Responsibilities
* Diploma of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)/ Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or working towards equivalent.
* Current Working with Children Check
* Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
* Food safety, handling and hygiene training (desirable)
* Working knowledge of My Time, Our Place, National Quality Standards, the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and Care Services National Regulations
* Working knowledge and understanding of the developmental needs of school age children, including children with additional needs

Timetable may vary on Student Free Days, Parent Teacher Interview days and end of term days when the program runs at altered hours. The school Principal will advise on upcoming dates. It is an expectation that the coordinator is rostered on to run both the before and after school program each school term day. (unless on approved leave) During school holidays: The coordinator is required onsite every day to cover either the morning or afternoon shift (unless on approved leave). The coordinator and 21C share these shifts to ensure we have one DASH leader in attendance at all times. The program staffing ratio is paramount. If you are required on the floor to meet ratio, administration hours may be reallocated to another day of the week when we have adequate staff coverage. Conditions of Employment

Location Profile Delacombe Primary School Outside of School Hours Care Program (DASH) is an integral part of the Delacombe Primary School and the local community. The service aims to provide high level quality care for all children, allowing them to learn, develop friendships and have fun. We are guided by the framework for School Aged Care - My Time, Our Place and the National Quality Framework in the development of a program that meets the needs of all children in our care. DASH offer before/after school care, vacation care and student free day care to our Delacombe Primary School families. The service also offers before/after school care and vacation care to our neighbouring Lumen Christie Primary School and St Aloysius Parish School. Children are transported to and from Delacombe Primary School on our very own DASH bus. The service is approved to provide care for up to 135 children. The program runs from the Delacombe Primary School kitchen/library/stadium and has access to the schools fully equipped Stephanie Alexander kitchen and garden, art room space, state of the art stadium and vast school grounds. The vacation care program offers children with a wide variety of incursion and excursions. DASH value the partnership we have with families and aim to work collaboratively with all families. We believe that children benefit from strong links being formed between home and the service. DASH staff work a variety of hours across all programs provided (including school holidays).
