Midwifery Unit Manager – Birth Suite/Postnatal

About The Role
* Facilitate and coordinate a seamless flow of pre‑operative, in‑patient and elective/emergency patients in the Birth Suite and Postnatal Ward.
* Provide clinical leadership and unit management, oversee bed allocations, recruitment and emergency responses.
* Collaborate with Visiting Medical Officers (VMO), practice managers, referrals, and clinical managers to optimise patient experience.
* Support the Maternity Manager with daily rostering, recruitment, incident management and strategic management.
About You
* Registered with AHPRA.
* Minimum 5 years clinical experience in a Birth Suite.
* Post‑graduate management qualification or equivalent in progress.
* Previous management and/or leadership experience, including Nursing Unit Manager.
* Advanced clinical midwifery experience with demonstrable clinical credibility and labour management knowledge.
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, workplace health & safety, infection control and fair work legislation.
* Knowledge of human resources and financial management, plus policy writing and analytical problem solving skills.
