We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Coordinator to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program based at Osborne, SA. As an Area Coordinator, you will be accountable to support the Area Manager, to safely coordinate and deliver key phases of work across the Forward Ship Area of the vessel. The role requires coordination and leadership of cross-functional teams ensuring that safety, quality, cost and schedule for Ship construction meets program goals and deliverables.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Area Manager in delivering projects and engineering outputs, in accordance with the developed plan
- Organise activities and tasks for specific projects, ensuring production activities are executed safely and efficiently
- Coordinate and de-conflict production activities in accordance with the Ship Plan of Day (SPOD)
- Facilitate production issue resolution to minimise holds to schedule
- Support Control Account and Contract Master Schedule reporting obligations, including monitoring progress and maintaining the schedule
- Establish strong relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best for program outcomes
About You
- Demonstrated experience in an engineering, production and/or defence workplace
- Proven ability to manage various trade-related groups and/or contractors
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements
- Experience with stakeholder management
- Understanding of Earned Value Management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for a variety of audiences
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
