**About the Role**:
We are seeking a vibrant self starter who can adapt to the busy-ness of a large school office environment with full oversight of the daily service delivery with a team of eight staff across two buildings. The successful applicant will require the ability to rapidly learn the intricacies of the systems (e.g. OneSchool, Compass etc) and processes established in a fast growing secondary school environment.
- Working closely with the Business Manager in relation to day-to-day supervision and management of the administrative team including affirming effective performance and being proactive with performance improvement.
- Supporting established enrolment practises.
- Finance Supervisor:
- Overseeing excursion planner approvals with the capacity to provide expertise knowledge to support teachers with cost calculators, risk assessments and following local business practises to align to current policy and procedure.
- Oversight of Accounts Receivable demonstrating a sound understanding and supporting local debt recovery processes to support administrative staff.
- Oversight of Accounts Payable demonstrating a sound understanding including the ability to support administrative staff including corporate card approvals.
- Providing a comprehensive range of administrative support to teaching staff in relation to policy and procedure advice to support them in a collegial approach in achieving successful outcomes.
- Displaying well developed communication and interpersonal skills to liaise, consult and negotiate outcomes to support teaching and learning.
- Human Resource Management:
- Oversight of timesheets and leave.
- Assist with Recruitment and Selection.
- Undertaking induction of support staff.
- Work collaboratively with our Facilities Manager.
- Facilities Management:
- Murrumba State Secondary College is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) school - as part of this partnership our facilities are privately owned and maintained. In a PPP school there is a middle tier of supervision as engaged by the private con.sortium from our partnership, which is a Facilities Manager. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the ability to build and sustain relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customer-focused outcomes with Ventia staff by maintaining a high standard of practice through governance and risk management.
