About the role
Join our large and dynamic Occupational Therapy team as the Senior Occupational Therapist of acute mental health, drug and alcohol services.
The Senior Occupational Therapist works across the acute units at Bloomfield Hospital including the MHICU, Adult Acute, Sub-acute and Older Persons Acute inpatient units.
This is a temporary full-time position for 12 months from February 2026 – February
This position will work directly and provide leadership to Level 1/2 Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants working on the acute units.
This Senior Occupational Therapy positions has a varied case-load across the acute units and works directly with the consumer, treating team and external providers.
The Occupational Therapy department at the Bloomfield Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol Service is a friendly and dynamic team which consists of 5 Senior Clinicians, 4 Junior Clinicians, Diversional Therapist, a Health Education Officer and a large number of Allied Health Assistants. We work as part of a large multidisciplinary team that is committed to providing all consumers with holistic, evidence based care that focuses on patient safety and engagement.
