About the Role
Algolia's Solutions Architect role is part of our go‐to‐market organization, focused on pre‐sales, solution modeling, and partner enablement to drive customer success.
Responsibilities
* Partner with Sales to evaluate prospects and lead technical pre‐sales across opportunities and accounts.
* Deliver solutions demos, Proofs of Concept, RFP responses and business justification.
* Collaborate with channel partners on partner‐led motions including onboarding webinars and enablement.
* Prototype and build custom search applications using Algolia's APIs and ecosystem partners.
* Advocate for customer needs internally, providing feedback to Product and Engineering.
* Support seamless transition to Customer Success for onboarding and adoption.
* Stay current on Search & Discovery industry trends and contribute thought leadership.
Qualifications
* 4+ years in a customer‐facing technical role (SE, SA, consultant, PM) in SaaS.
* Strong technical communication skills and ability to translate complex concepts to C‐level, product and engineering audiences.
* Experience with at least one backend language (Java, Ruby, Go, Node, Python, Swift/Objective‐C).
* Data modeling, transformation and enrichment experience.
* Experience delivering technical presales workshops.
* Experience working with channel partners such as SIs or ISVs.
* Organizational skills, multi‐tasking and detail orientation.
* Comfort working in a high‐growth, fast changing environment.
* Growth mindset and continuous learning.
Nice to Have
* Design mockups / wireframes / UI using tools like Photoshop, SketchApp.
* Experience implementing or optimising search & discovery experiences.
* Experience in e‐commerce and UX optimisation.
* Designing generative AI and agentic applications.
* High‐growth SaaS experience.
* Familiarity with iOS & Android.
* Knowledge of Magento, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, commercetools.

Compensation
Annual total cash compensation range (base salary and commission) for this role: $223,000 – $251,100 AUD.
