About Us

We are a registered NDIS and Child Safety services provider, deeply committed to delivering high-quality and personalised supports. As part of our dedication to the safety and wellbeing of the people we support, we recognise and uphold the Ten National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. These principles, among others, guide our policies, practices and culture to ensure safe, inclusive and empowering environments for everyone we support.

Compassion, Equality, Integrity, and Sustainability are the core values we live and work by, and are looking for these in the people, who choose to work with us.

About the role:

We are recruiting a specialist team of part time (minimum 60 hours per fortnight) support workers, preferably with significant experience and in-depth understanding of trauma. You will provide trauma-informed care and assist in managing challenging behaviours using therapeutic approaches and positive behaviour support strategies. Applicants must be able to demonstrate resilience and strong professional boundaries for this position.

You will play a vital role in empowering these young people with behavioural, developmental, social, and protection issues. You will provide practical and emotional support, helping them develop life skills, improve confidence, and work towards their goals.

This position will be challenging, but it will be equally rewarding.

What we are looking for:

We encourage applicants who are experienced in working with young people who have experienced trauma and/or disabilities or have transferable skills from roles supporting vulnerable individuals with challenging behaviours to apply.

We’re seeking a compassionate support worker to care for young people with diverse support needs, including mental health and disabilities.

The ideal candidates will be open-minded, non-judgmental, and able to connect with young people of all gender identities. You’ll help maintain consistent routines and boundaries in a safe, stable space while fostering positive relationships and personal growth.

These part time positions will require people to work days, evenings, sleepovers and weekend work as the house is operational 24/7. It is an expectation that workers have good availability and are able to commit to at least one sleepover shift a week.

Please note: young people and participants in the home may change if a placement closes or a young person is moved.

What you'll do:

- Support young people to manage emotions, develop coping skills, and build resilience.

- Support clients to attend medical appointments and manage medications

- Accurately complete incident reports, progress notes and shift handovers where required.

- Manage behaviours using a trauma informed approach.

- Help clients to build independence, self-esteem, and life skills.

- Writing and maintaining reports, including case notes, incident reports, and behavioural documentation.

- Follow safety plans and care plans tailored to each client’s needs.

- Provide care with daily living and activities, including shopping, meal prep, hygiene, cleaning, home management.

- Assist clients with community access and social activities.

Essential requirements

- Hold an industry-standard course. Those with significant experience will be considered if they enrol in and actively work towards achieving a minimum Cert IV a relevant qualification, as per the Peak Care guidelines.

- Hold or are eligible to obtain an LCS check, blue card and yellow card. Current eligibility checks an advantage due to the urgency of this placement.

- Minimum P2 driver’s licence with no restrictions (reasonable adjustments will be made for stable medical conditions which allow the inherent requirements of the role to be performed).

- Unrestricted work rights within Australia.

- Flexible to work over a 24/7 roster (ability to commit to 1 sleepover shift per week).

- Computer-literate.
