Solar Energy Consultant

* Project Management: Work on multiple projects, managing your time to meet project targets.
* Solar Farm Development: Conduct greenfield site visits to appraise the characteristics of potential development sites. Develop technical specifications & provide assistance to clients for all aspects of solar farm construction.
* Battery Energy Storage System (BESS): Design efficient BESS considering complex site constraints. Assist clients with procurement, including contract negotiation and tendering.
* Renewable Energy Consulting: Provide assurance on project viability through pre-feasibility and red-flag assessments. Engage with a wide range of clients, including developers and financial institutions, to establish how our capabilities can help answer their questions.
We're looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Solar Energy Consultant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy and excellent project management skills.
Responsibilities
Techincal Due Diligence: Technical due diligence of pre-construction through to operational solar and storage projects. Providing assurance on project viability through pre-feasibility and red-flag assessments.
Project Development: Developing technical specifications & providing assistance to clients for all aspects of solar farm and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction.
Procurement: Assisting clients with procurement, including contract negotiation and tendering.
Mentorship: Performing mentoring of junior or less experienced colleagues.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Engineering or Science degree in solar or renewable energy or other relevant discipline (i.e. mechanical, civil, electrical engineering).
Experience: Approx. 8 to 10 years of professional experience in the solar and storage industry.
Skills: Good organisation and time-management skills. Adaptability, and ability to cope with a wide variety of tasks. Ability to produce clear written reports and communicate verbally in English. Ability to work effectively with colleagues in a team environment.
