Senior Consultant Role
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Planning team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, leveraging your technical expertise and proven skills to support our clients.
About the Role:
* Contribute to multidisciplinary projects, working collaboratively with in-house economists, heritage planners, urban designers, social planners, and transport planners.
* Provide a range of services including advice on land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, and the approval process.
* Develop client relationships by building trust, providing quality advice, and managing expectations.
* Write submissions, proposals, and advice that accurately reflect the client's needs.
* Manage small to medium-sized projects, including scoping and costing, tracking job costs, and coordinating consultants and sub-consultants as needed.
* Identify and raise issues that may impact fee estimates or timelines.
* Coach and develop team members.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance and support the Planning team's Business Plan.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in Urban Planning.
* Some experience in managing planning projects.
* A strong knowledge of statutory and strategic planning, and related legislation, gained in a consultancy or local/state government environment.
* A keen understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
* The ability to excel in prioritizing competing demands of multiple projects within agreed budgets and timeframes.
* The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous professional development.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
