Our client is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to deliver both remote and onsite technical support across the Asia Pacific region. This role combines engineering expertise, IT support capabilities, and system configuration knowledge, with opportunities for travel and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to internal teams, external customers, distributors, and field personnel through remote and onsite interactions.
* Participate in a rotating 24/7 support program to address system and service-related issues.
* Configure and troubleshoot hardware and software for specialized applications.
* Promote and support the adoption of technical service plans through remote engagement.
* Direct and support personnel involved in installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair projects.
* Deliver training sessions in-person, remotely, and in classroom environments.
* Travel within the region as required to fulfill on-site service and training responsibilities.
* Assist in the development and execution of value-added services such as service contracts, data plans, system audits, and spare parts programs.
* Collaborate with engineering, sales, manufacturing, and marketing teams to provide technical insights and feedback from the field.
* Liaise with international technical support teams to ensure alignment and consistent service delivery.
* Document, track, and follow up on product and service-related issues to ensure timely resolution.
* Coordinate with cross-functional departments to support overall customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related study
* Must be bilingual in English / Japanese OR English / Korean
* 3+ years relevant experience
* Prior experience in a technical support role
* Hardware and software troubleshooting skills
* Knowledge of electronics and information systems
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Travel – 25% - 50%
