Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service is seeking an experienced Manager, Clinical Governance to provide strategic leadership and oversight of clinical governance systems across the service. Your Opportunity:
* The Manager Clinical Governance is a senior member of the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service Clinical Governance Unit and provides leadership and expert knowledge of clinical governance principles to ensure the Clinical Governance Unit supports the advancement of clinical governance principles within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS).
* The position is responsible for providing operational leadership, expert advice and direction to the staff of the Clinical Governance Unit. The Manager Clinical Governance is accountable for ensuring that the resources of the Clinical Governance Support Unit are coordinated and managed to meet the needs of the WBHHS as determined by contemporary practice and legislative requirements.
What we're looking for:
* Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership and management in patient safety, quality and clinical risk management at a senior management level, with demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills in relation to strategic development, monitoring and evaluation of such activities
* Demonstrated ability to lead the planning of and contribute towards the development and implementation of organisational strategic and operational plans
* Demonstrated achievement in leading a team to foster a work-based culture that promotes and supports clinical governance, patient safety, open disclosure, quality improvement, risk management, and consumer feedback.
* Demonstrated ability to initiate, implement and manage change and to provide leadership through change.
* Demonstrated knowledge and high level application of contemporary human resource practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity and anti-discrimination.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification or experience in a health related or clinical governance field would be well regarded.
* Attainment or working towards relevant qualifications in leadership and management is highly desirable.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $182,185 p.a., comprising salary between $150,906 - $159,677 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO8) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
