Procurement and Supply Chain Opportunities
We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team in submarine build, sustainment, and capability programs. These roles are critical to the successful delivery of complex defence projects and offer the opportunity to contribute to Australia's national security.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, contract management, contracts law, risk management and best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and executing sourcing activities in key categories of spend to ensure the achievement of business objectives and shareholder value.
* Developing, delivering and/or supporting business critical category strategies and related sourcing activities through proactive engagement with key stakeholders and the external market to ensure best value for money outcomes.
* Leading engagement with key suppliers and undertaking full cycle strategic procurement activities including defining sourcing strategies, contracting strategies, schedule planning, negotiation plans, contract management plans and other procurement activities ensuring best value for money outcomes on time and on budget while managing subcontractor risk.
* Supporting supply chain governance, compliance, and assurance oversight for the programs.
Requirements include:
* Relevant qualifications in commerce, law, supply chain, project management or considerable procurement experience.
* Membership of, or eligibility for membership of, the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Australia (CIPS).
* Solid understanding of MRP systems and Microsoft Office products.
* Project management skills to manage sourcing projects to agreed timelines and budget restraints.
* Proven track record of delivering significant cost savings and other business value through the development and implementation of sourcing strategy and plans.
* Exceptional written communication skills.
* Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and business case development.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills.
