McIlwraith State School is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team.
This role is essential in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe learning environment for students and staff.
You will contribute to the efficient operation of the school by delivering high-quality cleaning support in accordance with the approved cleaning program.
This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.17FTE), 13.25 hours per fortnight.

About The Role
We are seeking a Cleaner to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our school facilities. Reporting to the Principal or a nominated delegate, you will ensure that all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities Include
Cleaning and sanitising classrooms, toilets, and other facilities.Maintaining and cleaning equipment and surfaces, including windows, floors, and furniture.Disposing of rubbish and managing litter control, including clearing drains and gutters.Activating and disarming security systems, as well as locking and unlocking buildings.Liaising with the Principal or Business Manager regarding cleaning supplies and reporting safety or security concerns.
This role would suit someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
About You

Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules.Good communication skills for liaising with school staff and reporting issues.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
