You'll also play a key role in managing supplier relationships and supporting contract performance across a diverse range of services. Description Key Responsibilities: Procurement & Sourcing: Secure goods and services using value-for-money strategies and ethical practices Contract Management: Administer contracts from negotiation through compliance and close-out Supplier Relationships: Develop strong supplier partnerships to ensure timely and quality service delivery Compliance & Policy: Ensure all purchasing activity meets council policies and legislative frameworks Reporting & Analysis: Prepare procurement reports, highlight cost savings, and track contract performance Staff Support & Training: Guide internal teams on procurement procedures and policy best practices Record Keeping: Maintain thorough, audit-ready procurement and contract documentation Profile Skills and Experience: Solid understanding of procurement and tendering processes Experience in contract management and supplier negotiation Knowledge of public sector procurement policies and compliance Strong communication, time management and analytic skills Proficient in procurement software and finance systems Formal qualifications in procurement, business, or finance (desirable but no essential) Experience in local government is essential Job Offer This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with procurement experienceespecially in the government or public secotrwho's looking to make a genuine impact in their community while working in a flexible and supportive environment.
