About the roleJoin Yarra Ranges Council and make a real impact on how we support our people. As a People and Culture Business Partner, you’ll work closely with leaders and employees to deliver practical, forward-thinking HR solutions that shape a positive workplace culture.
You’ll provide advice on performance management, workplace issues, policy reviews and innovative projects that improve how we work. This is your chance to influence change, champion best practice, and help create an inclusive, high-performing organisation.
This is a full-time permanent band 6 position (38 hours per week) with a salary range between $98,432 and $107,292, plus superannuation.

In this role you will:Act as a trusted advisor by providing timely, expert HR advice on a range of employee matters.Support and give guidance to leaders through change management processes.Assist in performance management, helping leaders foster high performing teams.Facilitate the processing of administrative HR tasksCollaborate on the development and implementation of P&C projects aligned with Council’s strategic goals and values.Assist with policy reviews to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational goals and values.Foster a positive workplace culture that emphasises diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Experience and skills we’re looking forExperience in managing a broad range of workplace relations issues.Well-articulated verbal and written communication skills with experience in report and/or policy writing.Stakeholder management skills including both internal and external stakeholders.Experience in conducting workplace investigations or managing change initiatives.An understanding of the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and relevant legislations.Excellent values, self-awareness and empathy qualities that can truly partner with leaders and influence change initiatives.Experience in Technology One or similar HRIS is advantageous.If you have some but not all these skills or experience, we still encourage you to apply.
