As part of this transformation, we're hiring multiple new positions. These roles are key to shaping a vibrant and forward-thinking Chief Technology Office, one that adds real value, delivers better outcomes, and works in smarter, more agile ways.

If you’re equally excited about innovation, transformation, and making a meaningful impact, now is the perfect time to join us.

About the role

We are recruiting two Application Support Analysts, each aligned to a different business portfolio. While both roles share core responsibilities, they will support distinct application environments:

This role will support applications aligned to environmental management, resilience services, and broader corporate functions including Business Services, SP&P and OCEO.

What you'll do

The Application Support Analyst plays a key role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the City’s business applications. You’ll be responsible for providing day-to-day operational support, assisting with upgrades and enhancements, and ensuring the stability and functionality of critical applications.

This is a hands-on role that blends strong application and systems delivery expertise with a deep understanding of business capabilities, services, and processes. You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure platforms are reliable, secure, compliant, and aligned to organisational goals with a strong focus on user experience and accessibility.

We’re looking for people who have:

For the Infrastructure Gold Coast role, ideally you will have experience with:
Aqualus, SafetyCulture, GeoSCADA, Takadu, RedEye, Autodesk, 12d Solutions, and other Infrastructure Gold Coast aligned systems within complex or enterprise environments.

For the Environment, Resilience and Heritage role, ideally you will have experience with:
EnviroSys, LabWare, QLIMS, Mandalay, WastID, Elements 360, Wastedge, and other applications aligned to EH&R, Business Services, SP&P and OCEO within complex or enterprise environments.

In addition to the above, the successful candidate will also have:

* Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Knowledge of ITIL service management practices.
* Familiarity with software development and testing methodologies (Agile preferred).
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a focus on service quality.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with technical teams and business stakeholders.
* Collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

Please note: The successful candidates will not be able to commence in this role until after 1 July 2026. We encourage applicants who are planning their next move later in the year or are open to a delayed start to apply.
