The Opportunity
Reporting to the Vice President Sales & Marketing, Asia Pacific, you will guide the Southern Region's sales strategy and execution - driving revenue, volume, and margin growth, while strengthening customer relationships and expanding our market footprint.
You will also play a key general management role as co‐leader of a Regional Management Team, taking a central role in regional leadership of our Victorian, South Australian, Tasmanian and New Zealand business, commercial planning, and cross‐functional alignment.
This role offers significant scope to influence regional outcomes, support innovation, and build a culture of commercial excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead & Inspire
* Shape and execute the Regional sales strategy aligned with global and regional priorities.
* Develop, coach, and empower a high-performing, customer‐focused sales team.
* Embed strong sales methodologies, tools, and performance systems to drive excellence.
Engage Customers & Grow the Market
* Build strong relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders.
* Strengthen customer demand and retention through strategic account management and value-added services.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and capture emerging opportunities.
Drive Strategic Growth
* Identify and develop new market and new product opportunities, partnerships, and growth pathways.
* Support pricing strategy, negotiation, and contract management to enable sustainable, profitable growth.
Collaborate for Success
* Partner closely with operations, logistics, customer service, and technical teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
* Work with Asia Pacific commercial leadership to share insights, align best practices, and strengthen our brand and values.
About You
* You are a credible commercial leader with a track record of driving strategy, leading teams, and delivering growth.
* You combine strategic vision with hands‐on execution and bring strong commercial acumen and a collaborative mindset.
What You'll Bring
* Progressive sales or commercial leadership experience - ideally within minerals, construction materials, chemicals, or related industrial sectors.
* Proven success leading teams across diverse product portfolios and geographies.
* Strong capability in customer engagement, revenue growth, and strategic account management.
* Experience working in matrixed, values‐driven environments.
* High-level communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
* Expertise with sales CRM platforms and performance management tools.
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, or related fields (MBA desirable).
