Palliative Care Nurses

Key Responsibilities
* Delivering compassionate and evidence‐based nursing care
* Assess pain and complex symptoms effectively
* Support patients and families emotionally and psychologically
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Participate in discharge planning and care coordination
* Maintain accurate clinical documents
* Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
* Authority to work in Australia
* Current AHPRA Registration (no restrictions)
* Experience in palliative, oncology and aged care
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
* A compassionate and patient‐centred approach to care
* Ability to work well both independently and within a team
* Postgraduate qualification or studies in palliative care
* Experience with syringe drivers and symptom management
* Knowledge of advanced care planning and end‐of‐life care pathways

* Salary based on years of relevant nursing experience under NSWNMA/AMNF – starting from $26.39 – $37.39 per hour
Candidate Requirements
Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable) and evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
