Role Overview
As Senior Design Manager you will take a lead role in the front‐end of the business, managing the company's most complex technical projects and leading a team of design coordinators who will be on smaller projects, providing mentoring and guidance. This role can be a stepping stone to a Pre‐Construction Manager role in the business.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design team from design development through to construction
* Review drawings and specifications to ensure the required level of detail is being met
* Proactively drive the design, cost and scope to optimise the development budget
* Bring together and lead the consultant team ensuring adherence to the design program
* Evaluate any technical‐based variations proposed from the construction team and provide recommendations to the development team
* Lead shop‐drawing review and sign off after input from the construction team
