Sunshine Coast Cardiology is a specialist cardiology practice dedicated to providing high-quality patient-centred cardiology care. Key Responsibilities
* Front desk reception: welcoming patients and managing clinic flow.
* Answering phones, booking appointments, and managing patient enquiries.
* Medical typing, dictation, and correspondence with GPs and specialists.
* Managing patient files, referrals, test results, and recalls (Genie software experience desirable). uphold confidentiality of medical information.
* Liaising with hospitals, imaging providers, and other health professionals.
* Supporting billing processes (Medicare, DVA, health funds, and private accounts).
* Assisting with general administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
Skills and experience:
* Previous experience as a medical secretary, receptionist, or administrator in a healthcare setting (specialist or GP clinic preferred).
* Neat and professional presentation.
* Strong typing skills
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Proficiency in practice management software (Genie or similar).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and clinicians.
* High attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to multitask.
* Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
* CPR training completed within the past 3 years.
