Our product range is diverse and includes homewares, gifts, party supplies, craft products, seasonal decorations and general household merchandise. We work with multiple Australian suppliers and wholesalers to ensure a wide product selection at competitive prices. We are committed to providing quality products, excellent customer service and a positive in-store shopping experience for our customers.
Due to ongoing business operations, we are now seeking an experienced Shop Manager to join our team and support the continued success of the store.
Annual Salary
$83,200 plus superannuation contributions
Duties and responsibilities of the Shop Manager
* Planning and managing the store's product range, including determining appropriate product assortment, stock levels and service standards in line with customer demand and sales trends
* Developing and implementing purchasing strategies, marketing initiatives and pricing structures to support sales growth and maintain competitiveness within the local market
* Coordinating promotional activities and supporting in-store and local advertising to enhance product visibility and customer engagement
* Overseeing sales activities and providing guidance to customers on product selection and appropriate product use
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels and financial transactions
* Preparing and managing store budgets, monitoring financial performance and ensuring expenditure is controlled in accordance with business targets
* Recruiting, training, rostering and supervising retail staff to ensure efficient daily operations and consistent service standards
* Ensuring full compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe store environment
The applicant must have the following required skills and experience
Qualification
At least Bachelor degree
Experience
At least three years relevant working experiences
Essential Skills
* Extensive experience and strong background in retail industry
* Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory control and merchandising
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Customer-focused mindset with the ability to resolve issues professionally
* Highly organised, excellent time management and decision-making skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Good at team work
