ASSA ABLOY is a global leader in door opening solutions, committed to satisfying end-user needs for security, safety and convenience. Our team is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant with a strong background in accounting who wants to work with like-minded individuals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Ensuring the accurate and timely presentation of monthly results by posting standing journals, payroll, leasing, netting, prepayments, and accruals.
* Reconciling and actioning General Ledger Balance Sheet accounts monthly.
* Investigating and following up on payment issues.
* Maintaining fixed asset registers and insurance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
1. A minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
2. Experience in the manufacturing or construction related industry is preferred.
3. Familiarity with Australian or international accounting standards.
4. A solid understanding of relevant tax regulations, including GST, PAYG and Payroll Tax.
5. Experience with an ERP system i.e., preferably Microsoft AX.
6. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
