About the role
We are currently seeking Harvest Machinery Operators to join our team for the almond harvest currently underway across our Riverland orchards. These seasonal roles play an important part in ensuring the harvest runs smoothly and efficiently.
You will assist with operating harvest equipment used throughout the almond harvesting process. While previous almond harvest experience is highly regarded, we are also open to applicants who have experience driving tractors or operating other types of machinery and are willing to learn.
What you'll do
* Operate almond harvesting machinery including tree shakers, sweepers, conditioners and other harvest equipment.
* Complete daily pre-start and equipment checklists.
* Monitor machinery performance and report any faults or damage to the Farm Manager or Assistant Farm Manager.
* Assist with harvest operations to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
* Follow company policies and procedures, particularly workplace health and safety requirements.
What we're looking for
* Previous almond harvesting experience is desirable but not essential.
* Experience operating tractors or agricultural machinery is highly regarded.
* Willingness to learn and operate harvest equipment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong work ethic and reliable attendance during the harvest period.
* Commitment to working safely and following workplace procedures.
