This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist training officer to join our Service Delivery Division. This role contributes to frontline customer centric service and information that is outward-facing, streamlined and responsive to meet the needs of customers within the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS).

The role
Our Customer Information Directorate provides frontline customer centric service and information. The role ensures the Department is customer focused and engages effectively with the community, business and stakeholders. It assists with delivering an excellent customer service experience through customised training, embedment and other customer service developmental resources for front line customer service officers and leaders.
A typical day may include supporting frontline leaders in providing training, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement, or developing customised training and educational resources. Eligibility and terms
To be eligible for a permanent appointment, applicants must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia at the time of application. Applicants with a valid visa to work and live in Australia for a specific duration may be considered suitable for similar fixed term vacancies that arise.

To work for LGIRS, you must consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) and obtain a clearance before you start. Qualifications and requirements
A detailed resume outlining key achievements, work history, education and professional development, and a covering letter of no more than two pages addressing the following role-specific requirements:
Demonstrated experience of the delivery of frontline customer service.
Demonstrated capability to deliver training and embedment for frontline officers.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or an equivalent qualification or experience.
