About the Role
Roles are available at all four of our Adelaide plants: Lonsdale, Port Adelaide, Magill and Smithfield. Both permanent and casual positions are available. The rate is $30.75 for permanent and an additional 25% for casual.
Drivers will start between 4am and 6:30am and may drive up to and over 10hours per day, averaging 50–55hours per week. Saturday work is generally available, paid at overtime rates. Once a regular day's hours are exceeded, the first two overtime hours are paid time and a half, thereafter at double time. Meal allowances are paid after 10hours in a shift.
If you have an HC licence we may be able to get you into one of our semi‐agitator trucks. All new starts go through a 10‐day training program before driving independently.
Responsibilities
* Operate semi‐agitator (AGI) trucks and other fuel‐efficient trucks for road maintenance and construction projects.
* Drive safely while maintaining accurate route logs and load tracking using our cutting‐edge technology.
* Interact with a wide variety of customers and onsite personnel, providing service and coordination.
* Keep the truck clean and presentable as a mobile billboard for the company.
Qualifications
* Minimum of an HC licence (essential); previous driving experience preferred.
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical, including drug and alcohol test.
* Full Australian work rights.
* Comfortable interacting with new people, and adaptable to varied daily routines.
* Knowledge of weight limits for certain trucks and seatbelts is acceptable.
