About the role:
Reporting to the Leisure Centre's Coordinator, this leadership role is responsible for the management, coordination and continual improvement of health and fitness services.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Leading gym operations and group fitness programming.
* Driving high-quality, modern programs aligned with community needs and industry best practice.
* Supporting and supervising staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
* Monitoring performance, safety and compliance standards.
* Acting as a Duty Manager as part of a rotating roster, providing on-site leadership and effective decision making.

What you'll bring to the role:
* A demonstrated experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within the health and fitness industry, along with availability to work across a rotating roster between 5.00am and 8.00pm Monday to Friday. You will also demonstrate:
* Strong leadership and people management capability
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Well-developed organisational and time management skills
* Confidence in negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution
* A customer-first mindset and commitment to safety and inclusion
Pre-employment Requirements:
* Cert III & IV in Health and Fitness
* Fitness Australia accreditation
* Provide First Aid and CPR
* Working with Children Check (or an ability to obtain)
* National Police Clearance (dated within six months)
* Proof of right to work in Australia
* Pre-employment medical (arranged and paid for by the City)
