ROLE DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidate will have experience exhibiting the highest levels of linguistic excellence, pedagogy, professionalism and commitment to the ethos of the College. Awareness of teaching using ICT is a requirement.
Applicants must have a genuine love of learning and be able to demonstrate a commitment to student centred-learning, collaborative practice, pastoral care, co-curricular responsibilities and the values of the College.
Classroom teachers will be expected to
* Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study
* Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards
* Teach an area of the curriculum or a general curriculum year level
* Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in ley learning areas
* Implement strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
* Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress
* Implement effective student management consistent with the College's strategic plan
* Contribute to a range of co-curricular programs
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of a Diploma of Education
* Current registration with Teachers Registration Board Western Australia
* Current Working With Children Check
* Willingness to obtain Accreditation for Teachers
* The ability to teach Religious Education would be advantageous but not essential
