The Opportunity
AMRRIC is seeking a detail-oriented Operations & Governance Coordinator to support governance, compliance, HR, policy, and internal systems. This flexible, part-time role is based in Darwin (Larrakia Land) — ideal for someone who enjoys coordination, structure, and purposeful work.
About Us
AMRRIC (Animal Management in Rural and Remote Indigenous Communities) is a national not-for-profit based on Larrakia Land in Darwin. We work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to improve animal health, which in turn strengthens human health and community well-being. Our work spans veterinary programs, education and training, research, and advocacy.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate organisational calendars and logistics for key meetings, including senior staff and governance bodies
- Prepare agendas, papers and minutes to support effective and well-documented meetings
- Maintain registers and compliance records (WHS, conflicts of interest, policy updates)
- Draft, edit and manage internal documents, policies, procedures and templates
- Coordinate onboarding, recruitment admin, and internal training schedules
- Liaise with IT providers and maintain digital systems access (CRM, SharePoint)
- Step in with reception or inbox support during busy periods of leave or high workloads
- Ensure administrative continuity across teams and contribute to a positive team culture
What You'll Bring
- Experience in admin, governance, or HR support, ideally in a purpose-driven or NFP setting
- Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and digital admin systems
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and care
- Certificate IV in Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with board or governance support, policies and compliance processes
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency (required – no visa sponsorship available)
