We have 3 Project Manager positions available within the Water Sector for the NSW State Government
About The Role
The purpose of the position is to successfully manage the delivery of predominantly medium to high risk / complexity projects within the Regional Two Year Integrated Works Program. This includes capital works, renewals, and minor works projects.
The role involves leading collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams and the Regional Delivery Partner to manage and resolve complex issues and risks in project delivery. The position is accountable for driving collaboration, managing risks proactively, and ensuring integrated whole-life delivery.
Candidates should have 5+ years of project management experience in large-scale, medium to high risk / complexity civil infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the successful delivery of projects from initiation to close-out and handover, following NEC4 processes and the Program Delivery framework.
* Drive collaboration across teams and partners to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in project delivery, cost, and risk management.
* Develop Project Plans with clear targets, KPIs, scope, and deliverables.
* Prepare Business Cases for complex projects, including options analysis and recommendations.
* Conduct regular meetings with the Regional Delivery Partner to address issues, changes, and compliance matters.
* Manage stakeholder and community engagement in line with Sydney Water's strategy.
Work location is Chatswood, with some WFH flexibility.
About You
You are an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in large infrastructure projects.
The Successful Candidate Will Possess
* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
* 5+ years project management experience in large-scale civil infrastructure projects
* Proven experience in delivering large, multi-faceted projects
* Leadership and management skills
* Experience working with key stakeholders and leading multidisciplinary teams
