We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our Risk and Compliance team on a full-time basis.

This role will see you reporting into the Chief Risk Officer in enhancing and embedding Navy Health's Risk and Compliance frameworks. This role will also see you act as a trusted risk advisor and provide support on various risk and compliance initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the ongoing enhancement and implementation of Navy Health's risk management framework including supporting policies and processes across the organisation.
2. Work closely with business units across the organisation to identify business risks and help develop and enhance policies, processes and controls.
3. Support the development and maintenance of Navy Health's Compliance Management Framework including the Compliance Obligation register.
4. Monitor and review compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
5. Assist in the preparation of regular and thorough risk & compliance reporting to Executive Management, Board Sub-committees and Board.
6. Provide training and guidance to staff on risk management and compliance best practices.
7. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory changes and requirements.
8. Assist in audits, investigations, and compliance reviews.
9. Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices in risk and compliance management.

About You

Whilst these are not exclusive requirements for consideration for this role, the ideal candidate will possess some combination of:

* Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Law (or similar appropriate area)
* CA/ CPA or studying towards would be advantageous
* 5+ years experience in (one or more areas) audit, risk and/or regulatory-based roles within Australia's financial services
* Experience in working with APRA prudential regulation (particularly CPS 220) or dealing with APRA-regulated entities would be highly regarded
* Good understanding of Australia's Private Health Insurance industry (preferred but not essential) and the broader financial services landscape
* Experience in utilising and maintaining an enterprise Risk and Compliance software solution would be advantageous
