About the Role
* You'll contribute to the ongoing performance, safety, and compliance of a mission‑critical capability by providing engineering governance, technical assurance, and structured systems safety input. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will:
* Maintain and evolve the program's engineering documentation and artefact suite
* Deliver formal engineering and systems safety advice to internal and external stakeholders
* Exercise delegated engineering authority within your discipline
* Identify, assess, and manage technical and safety risks
* Review contractor deliverables for quality, compliance, and alignment with program objectives
* Support adherence to Defence engineering frameworks, processes, and assurance requirements
* Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to enable effective capability outcomes
What You'll Bring
* Chartered Professional Engineer (or eligibility to obtain) through a recognised professional body
* Strong background in systems engineering and/or systems safety engineering
* Experience working within Defence environments, including familiarity with Defence capability frameworks
* Exposure to ASDEFCON contracting environments
* Demonstrated stakeholder engagement capability and the ability to influence technical and non‑technical audiences
