An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer to join our Corporate IT team supporting the NEC IT environment
We are seeking an experienced engineer with particular strengths in Azure Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Management and Microsoft 365 Management
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Azure Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Management:
o Manage, secure, and enhance a hybrid cloud environment using Azure services.
o Implement and optimize cloud infrastructure for best cost, performance, and security.
o Develop scripts for automating cloud/server functions and processes.
o Monitor and manage cloud privacy and security in collaboration with IT security teams.
o Handle and resolve infrastructure issues and provide support for cloud-based applications.
1. On-Prem Infrastructure Migration to Hybrid Cloud:
o Plan and execute the migration of on-premises infrastructure to a hybrid cloud environment.
o Assess current on-premises infrastructure and develop a detailed migration strategy.
o Optimize applications and workloads for the hybrid cloud environment.
1. Microsoft 365 Management:
o Oversee all facets of M365, with a focus on Teams, security, compliance, and Entra ID.
o Implement and enforce governance policies and compliance standards.
o Manage and administer Microsoft Teams, including voice, AV, and conferencing integration to ensure optimal performance.
o Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure cohesive management of the entire M365 suite.
1. Microsoft 365 Tenant Migration:
o Plan and execute M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
o Develop and implement migration strategies for seamless transition of users, mailboxes, data, and other workloads.
o Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and manage any potential issues during the migration.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption and effective communication throughout the migration process.
o Evaluate and implement Essential 8 maturity level 2 controls on server/infrastructure prospective.
Experience
* Proven experience in managing Azure hybrid cloud environments.
* Hands-on experience with on-premises to cloud migrations.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and tenant migrations
* Proven involvement in Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
* Experience with Essential 8 maturity level 2 controls implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert preferred.
* MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator
* Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
* Azure Administrator Associate
