The Domestic and Family Violence Service provides support to people who are at risk of, or are experiencing, domestic violence.
Working independently and as part of a team, you will support clients through the provision of professional high-quality case management, advocacy and counselling.
You will be facilitating the process of moving women and children experiencing, or at risk of, domestic violence toward independent and/or safe housing.

Desired Skills and Experience
You will:
* Have a knowledge of the issues affecting domestic violence clients.
* Have the ability to establish positive, empowering relationships.
* Advocate for and with your clients, ensuring their needs are the focus.
* Be organised, plan to meet deadlines.
* Have a high level of communication skills, both written and verbal.
It is essential for you to have:
* Current Australian Drivers Licence.
* Relevant experience in Homelessness, Domestic/Family Violence or similar positions, in a paid or voluntary capacity.
It is desirable for you to have:
* Certificate IV (or above) in a Human Services related discipline.
A tertiary qualification in a Human Services related discipline (e.g. Social Work) will be highly regarded.
You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA sites or interstate as required.

* Tell us about your understanding of Domestic and Family violence and it’s impacts on victims and children?
* How do you approach building trust and rapport with clients who may be experiencing trauma and/or fear?)
* Tell us about your personal strengths you could bring to the role of a Domestic and Family Violence Case Manager?
* Part of the role you will be expected to complete case note recording. Can you please provide details of comprehensive case noting and information required to be case noted?
