Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, installing, removing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical spare parts. They will also perform major overhauls of equipment with or without external contractors and vendors, disassemble, assemble, observe, repair, test, collect data, and prepare reports on equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining and repairing equipment, including inspection and testing
* Installing, removing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical spare parts
* Performing major overhauls of equipment with or without external contractors and vendors
* Disassembling, assembling, observing, repairing, testing, collecting data, and preparing reports on equipment
* Maintaining non-electrical safety, process, and utility equipment
* Performing power plant rigging and lifting equipment necessary for safely handling heavy machinery and materials
* Advising and assisting engineering and scientific professional staff in the design of advanced and complex mechanical equipment or system
* Troubleshooting process equipment and automation issues that may arise at the manufacturing line
Requirements
* Strong mechanical knowledge on a wide variety of equipment
* Mechanical Technician trade qualification or equivalent
* Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
* Strong communication skills
* Strong diagnostic abilities
* Self-motivated, organised, punctual, and reliable
What We Offer
* A competitive salary between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum + Super
* A full-time, permanent position
