Job Title: Department Leader
The Allied Health department leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, ensuring seamless functioning in areas such as scheduling, administration, billing, and debt collection. The department leader will collaborate with the manager to optimize the use of the department's resources, focusing on maximizing activity across outpatient and private practice services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide guidance, support, and supervision to caregivers working in the Allied Health department.
* Manage the orientation of new caregivers to the department.
* In collaboration with the manager, manage the scheduling of the department to maximize activity, focusing on community needs and St John of God mission and values.
* Coordinate outpatient appointments in line with health fund billing rules and guidelines.
* Manage the billing matrix to facilitate accurate and timely billing of outpatients.
* Ensure all outpatients have appropriate fund checks and informed financial consent prior to attendance.
* Conduct annual audits/reviews of the informed financial consent process.
* Manage debt collection in collaboration with the accounts receivable shared services team.
