**The Position**
Position Title: Implementation Practitioner, Mental Health & Wellbeing Act
Classification: RPN Grade 5, OT4, SW4, P4
Salary per hour (exc. super): $59.83 - $65.93
Hours per fortnight: 80 plus ADO
Employment Status: Fulltime Fixed term 18 months

**Role Description**
The Implementation Practitioner will be responsible for ensuring the Mental Health Service is ready for the new Mental Health & Wellbeing Act through the following:
- Developing a local service implementation plan
- Promote the Act and the principles underpinning the Act
- Participate in the regular Implementation Forums to be convened by the Sector Implementation Team in the Department of Health and provide local implementation plans and reports as required
- Reviewing existing policy and procedures and developing new policy and procedures where required to ensure compliance with the new Act
- Developing and implementing a local implementation strategy to ensure the clinical and non-clinical workforce, consumers, carers, families, supporters and other stakeholders understand the relevant changes associated with the new Act
- Lead the coordination of the learning development strategy and provision of Mental Health services staff education and training
- Development of local guidelines and other resources for health professionals, consumers, carers and supporters as required
- Engage, and consult with, relevant stakeholders including, clinical and non-clinical staff and the lived experience workforce and broader lived and living experience community
- Lead the collaboration with consumers, carers, families and supporters to puts their views, preferences and values at the forefront of the implementation of the Act
- Provide reports and work with the executive and the lived experience leadership to ensure oversight of the required changes, and communicate implementation directives as provided by the Department of Health through the Sector Implementation Team
- Provide high level advice and consultation to staff in relation to the new Act
- Contribute to the formulation, implementation & evaluation of other related policy & procedure and quality improvement projects
- Support and engage in relevant Mental Health Services Transformation projects that align with the implementation of the act as appropriate for the role
