About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an Accounts Receivable & Payable Officer to join a well‐established organisation based in Western Sydney. This position is offered on a temporary‐to‐permanent basis and plays an important part in keeping the Accounts Receivable function running smoothly and supporting the broader finance team. Working within a team‐oriented finance team, you will take ownership of your own ledger, managing collections, allocations and customer relationships while contributing to ongoing process improvements during a period of transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- End‐to‐end management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing, collections and supplier payments.
- Managing both customer and supplier ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Monitoring outstanding receivables and payables, following up on overdue payments and maintaining agreed collection and payment terms.
- Processing supplier invoices, performing three‐way matching and ensuring timely and accurate payment runs.
- Performing bank reconciliations and allocating incoming and outgoing payments in line with remittance advice.
- Investigating and resolving customer and supplier queries, discrepancies and account issues in a timely manner.
- Setting up and maintaining customer and supplier accounts, including credit checks and reviewing credit limits where required.
- Supporting month‐end processes, including reconciliations and reporting across AP and AR functions.
Qualifications
- 2‐3 years of experience across Accounts Payable & Accounts Recievable.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and problem‐solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with customers and internal stakeholders.
