Medical Receptionist Part-time – Yeppoon Qld
Total Health Medical Centre is a General Practice located in Yeppoon and Emu Park in Central Queensland. We are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team.
The position is approximately 18 hours per week along with cover for staff on leave.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing high quality service to all patients
* Liaising with patients during check-in and check-out
* Scheduling patient appointments
* Managing incoming and outgoing phone calls
* Performing data entry, scanning and emailing
* Processing patient payments and submitting third-party claims
* Managing incoming and outgoing mail
* Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the surgery, including consultation rooms
* Respond to patient enquiries and relay important messages to doctors / nurses
Key Requirements:
* Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and within a team
* Flexible availability to cover shifts and support colleagues as required
* Advanced computer literacy
* A patient-centred approach to work
* Excellent communication skills
* High reliability
* Strong attention to detail
* Previous experience as a medical receptionist and familiarity with Best Practice or Pracsoft/Medical Director is preferred however training can be provided for the right candidates
