Position Overview
We are seeking an unaccredited registrar to work in the O&G unit at Royal Hobart Hospital. The successful applicants will provide elective and emergency care for all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Responsibilities
The Registrar is responsible for the day-to-day management of private and public inpatients/outpatients and provides after-hours emergency cover at the hospital as required.
Other key responsibilities include:
* Managing elective and emergency care in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
* Overseeing high-risk obstetric management and routine gynaecology clinics.
* Performing all areas of gynaecological surgery.
* Participating in weekly education sessions within the department.
Qualifications
* General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable).

Salary & Awards
$134,930 - $189,005 per annum
Salary range is in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.

Employment Type & Period
Fixed term, full-time, 76 hours per fortnight (+10 hours protected training time per fortnight, pro rata) commencing as soon as possible until 1 February 2027.
