You will complete a Certificate III Engineering Mechanical qualification over 48 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and Host employer, Manildra.
Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:
- Perform routine mechanical maintenance on fixed and rotating equipment.
- Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in the diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical faults.
- Carry out general machining duties as required, including operating lathes, milling machines, and other workshop equipment.
What you’ll bring to the table…
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Commitment to full term of the apprenticeship and study requirements
- Demonstrate ability to understand mechanical principles, and an interest in machinery and how things work
- Previous experience/exposure in prioritizing, multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Current drivers licence (or able to obtain prior to employment)
- WHS Construction Induction (White Card), or willingness to obtain prior to employment
- NSW Police Check & Working with Childrens Check, or willingness to obtain prior to employment
- Willingness to undergo a Pre‑Employment medical, including audiometry, spirometry, drug and alcohol screening and functional capacity assessment.
