The work you will undertake is varied and interesting. We contribute to major government activities that improve the wellbeing of Tasmanians and support the Government’s management of the State’s financial position.
Responsibilities
* The Director People and Culture will: Lead people and culture functions at Treasury, fostering a culture of excellence.
* Provide high-level strategic and authoritative advice to the Secretary and Executive on people, culture and change management issues.
* Work with the Executive to drive organisational transformation.
* Represent Treasury in whole-of-government and interagency forums on human resources transformation and other people, culture and safety forums.

The Human Resources branch develops and embeds contemporary people and culture practices and provides payroll and recruitment services for Treasury. HR provides high-level consultancy advice on complex strategic HR issues and partners with stakeholders to deliver a responsive, high quality and seamless service.
Hours per fortnight
Up to 73.5 hours; flexible. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part time hours.
Period of Appointment
Appointment to the role is on a fixed term five (5) year basis.
Qualifications
Completion of relevant tertiary or industry qualifications and/or professional affiliation is highly desirable but not essential.
