About the Role
Mackay Regional Council is seeking a Field Services Labourer to assist with the construction, maintenance and repair of Council infrastructure. This role supports the delivery of safe, efficient and reliable services across the region and contributes to positive outcomes for the community.
About You
You are a motivated and reliable team member who enjoys hands-on work in an outdoor environment. You understand the importance of safety, teamwork and following instructions while delivering quality work outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with civil construction and maintenance activities including roads and drainage
* Operate hand tools, small plant and equipment in accordance with safety procedures
* Undertake general labouring duties and manual handling tasks
* Maintain worksites in a safe, clean and orderly condition
* Comply with Council policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills
* Construction Industry White Card
* Current Class C Driver Licence
* Ability to undertake physical work in outdoor conditions
* Commitment to safe work practices
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in civil construction or maintenance activities
* Relevant plant and equipment licences or tickets
