Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Psychologist to join our dynamic Wellbeing Workforce in the South East Region. As a key member of our team, you will work with students, parents, and families to provide support and guidance to help them overcome mental health challenges.
About the Role:
* Undertake individual and group counselling sessions with students, parents, and families to address personal or relationship concerns;
* Provide advice on diagnoses provided by external professionals and monitor students' progress;
* Administer psycho-educational assessments of students with learning and/or adjustment difficulties;
* Coordinate training programs for teachers, parents, and other professionals on supporting students' mental health and wellbeing;
* Identify needs and participate in referral and planning services for children, parents, and families to community agencies;
* Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field;
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
* Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with mental health needs;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
