**Purpose**

The primary objectives of the position are to:

- Plan and deliver catchment land and water maintenance programs (fencing, weed spraying, native vegetation

management, roading, slashing etc).
- Deliver land maintenance programs for other CHW teams/asset owners (wastewater team, network field

services, water resources) (eg. weeding, mowing, roading, etc).
- Coordinate parks and recreational land management (mowing, repairs and maintenance, tree management,

amenity management etc).
- Provide oversight of and support to CHW's commercial forestry operations.
- Implement strategies to manage an improve recreational and cultural values in CHW managed land assets.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies for CHW managed land assets and associated

infrastructure.
- Implement land use strategies, including decision on land use for CHW managed lands.
- Implement strategies for source water quality protection and land management programs including river health,

biodiversity, biosecurity, recreational assets, and land use management in accordance with government and
community expectations in CHWs catchment assets including, waterways, land reserves and public parks.

**Key Duties/Responsibilities**

**Leadership**

Managing ongoing relationships at all levels within CHW to identify, plan and implement the catchment and land
maintenance annual works program and strategies (including catchment risk management, river health works, fire
protection works, biodiversity management, forestry establishment, pest plant and animal program).
- Lead development and implementation of CHWs land maintenance and land-based assets maintenance

contracts
- Contractor management including the administration and coordination of contracts including compliance,

reporting, management of KPIs and incentives and meetings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with neighbouring land holders and internal stakeholders to identify and

address land maintenance issues.
- Support and provide technical leadership to the Field Services Team.
- Develop and implement strategies and projects relating to CHW managed lands.
- Support the Senior Planner Catchment and Partnerships in the development of strategies relating to whole of

catchment management and broader catchment projects
**Field Services**
- Undertake weekly project prioritisation/work planning with CHW staff and contractors and manage

performance.
- Identify reactive maintenance tasks and delegation of works to contractors and/or field staff.
- Responding to and controlling catchment hazards and incidents.
- Undertake audits on our contractor performance through site audits and inspections.
- Identification of opportunities to continuously improve the level of service delivery and efficiency.
