Your new companyMy client is an Australian company with a mission and vision to be a leader in sheet metal product manufacturing and specialised high-end steel fabrication in Australia.We are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join the team in Hope valley, where you will require at least 5 plus years' experience in a similar role.Your new roleAn experienced production/Workshop Supervisor wanting to join a supportive and close-knit team.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily workshop operations and production schedulingSupervise and lead welders, fabricators, and apprenticesInterpret fabrication drawings and job specificationsEnsure compliance with WHS requirements and Australian StandardsMonitor quality, productivity, and job progressManage materials, consumables, and workshop equipmentReduce rework, waste, and downtimeLiaise with customers, project managers, engineers, and site teamsSupport training and development of apprentices
What you'll need to succeedTrade-qualified fabricator or boilermaker (essential)Proven experience in a workshop management or leading-hand roleProven experience in stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel fabricationA minimum of 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication is required.Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, and sheet metal processesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsStrong leadership, communication, and organisational skillsSound understanding of WHS and quality requirementsHands-on, practical, and solutions-focused approachHolder of various trade certificatesGeneral engineering and problem-solving abilityWhat you'll get in returnStable, full-time position with an established businessCompetitive salary based on experienceSupportive team and well-equipped workshopOpportunity to make a real impact on operations and growthExcellent working conditions in a friendly, motivated team environment
