As part of ASC's Nuclear Oversight Team, the Nuclear Governance and Controls Manager will be responsible for developing and executing ASC's nuclear governance strategy and assurance arrangements across the organisation. The role operates in a complex, highly regulated environment and requires close collaboration with internal teams, external regulators, and enterprise stakeholders.
In addition to governance and assurance, the role plays an important part in supporting ASC's transition to a nuclear organisation by contributing to the adoption of nuclear mindset principles and the development of a strong, values-led nuclear culture.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing ASC's nuclear governance framework and strategy
* Coordinating engagement with nuclear regulators and authorities
* Leading the delivery and ongoing management of the nuclear assurance framework
* Providing authoritative advice on governance compliance and regulatory obligations
* Maintaining regulatory documentation and compliance records
* Influencing cross-functional teams in complex and evolving environments
* Supporting nuclear mindset training and cultural initiatives across the business

About You
You are an experienced governance or regulatory professional who is comfortable operating in ambiguity and complexity. You bring credibility, sound judgement, and a structured approach to managing regulatory frameworks, while also being able to influence and engage stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
You are motivated by purpose-driven work and understand the importance of safety, security, and safeguards in highly regulated environments.
To be successful, you will have:
* A degree or postgraduate qualification in Engineering or a relevant discipline
* 5+ years' experience in nuclear regulation or another highly regulated industry
* Experience in governance, regulatory affairs, or assurance frameworks
* Strong understanding of regulatory interpretation and compliance management
* Experience coordinating technical personnel in complex environments
* Knowledge of systems engineering and requirements management principles
* The ability to hold and maintain an Australian NV1 Security Clearance
